Ever since the movie of the same name, everyone has been fascinated by bucket lists – those things you want to do, accomplish, or become before you pass into the great beyond.
Honestly, I had trouble coming up with thirteen. I’ve done a lot of things already. I’ve traveled the world, earned several degrees, climbed the professional ladder, become a published author, won awards, indulged my artistic talents in paint and stained glass, mentored others, and so on, and so on.
I also think your bucket list changes throughout your life as new things occur to you and other things fall out of favor.
So today, I could use your help adding to my list. What’s on yours? Your ideas might be better than the ones I came up with. They’ll certainly be different! The person who gives me the best idea before Sunday to add to my list will win a copy of Highland Healer, or, if you’re willing to wait, a copy of the next book in the series, whenever it comes out.
Game on!
- Add South America to my list of continents visited
- Visit Scotland, Ireland and Wales
- Visit New Zealand
- Return to Australia
- Visit Russia
- Become a multi-published author
- Make the NYTimes Bestseller list (and USAToday, WSJ, etc.)
- Win the RWA Rita®Award
- Have one (or several) of my books made into a movie
- Locate and visit some old friends I’ve lost track of
- Endow a university Chair (I’d need to sell a LOT of books for that to happen!)
- ???
- ???
Comment before Sunday to be considered! (As always, keep it clean!)
And now for a bit of shameless self-promotion:
Highland Healer is now available in both print and ebook formats from Amazon, The Wild Rose Press, Barnes and Noble and other retailers.
I think the number one thing on my bucket list is to face my worst fear – swimming with Great White Sharks in South Africa…in a cage of course!
Something to add Willa my dear friend…
Have a photo shoot with one of those male models!
Or, on mine, donate a Million $ to a hot celebs favorite charity. In exchange, I get 8 hours of his time. All I want during that 8 hrs is to lay on his chest and listen to him talk! He could read me The Cat in the Hat for all I care too! (I’m speaking specifically of Vin Diesel and/or Dwayne Johnson – I’m happy with either…:D)
