Due to a problem with my iPhone (thanks a bunch, Apple), we made an unexpected trip on the train from Pitlochry to Edinburgh to go the the Apple store. Fortunately, the problem didn’t take long to fix, so that gave us a couple of hours to revisit some of the city before catching the return train.
Besides a return visit to the Makars’ Court (a Scots word for poet or author), where inscribed flagstones celebrate Scottish authors from the 14th century to today, and the Writers’ Museum, both just off the Royal Mile, we met some raptors and a bagpiper.
We also got a chance to duck into St. Giles. I recommend a visit if you get a chance. What a gorgeous kirk!
I have lots more pictures, so keep checking back to see more of my trip!
