Six Sentence Sunday #10

We’re getting close to the end of Six Sentence Sundays.  January 27th will be the last one done by the group (see the link below to other authors participating). My hope is that someone else will take it on and run it.  If not, should I continue here – just for my readers?  What do you think?

This week, I’m sharing a snippet from my latest project.  It’s not outlined yet, so I’m still working out where the story is going and what kind of book it will be, but so far, it sure seems like a romantic suspense.

Someone has been in the heroine’s house, several times, disturbing little until today, so she’s never pursued it.  Now she comes home after finding a body on the beach and spending hours with the sheriff, Sam, giving her statement in his office, to find blood-red rose petals scattered on her bed – and not in a good way.

Enjoy this week’s Six Sentence Sunday!

Clearly it was time to tell Sam.  Except then he’d be out here, hovering, and her house would be gray with fingerprint dust.  Whoever this was had done no harm, really.  Oh, who was she kidding?  This was creepy as hell.  She picked up the phone.

  1. Smart girl. Yes, she needs to tell Sam. But I do like her reasoning for not mentioning it before. Great snippet!

I just signed up at Skye Warren’s site. There around 70 others.
